Recognitions of research work done by laboratory members over last few years are listed here along with their important career landmark achievements
Best Teacher Award: In recognition of his profound contributions in academic programs of the institute, Tata Memorial Centre awarded Prof. Abhijit De as Best Teacher from Basic Science during the TMC annual convocation held on 5th September, 2025.

Technology Development: Our joint patent (between Tata Memorial Centre and IIT-Bombay) has entered the next step. A technology transfer agreement with Piscium Health Science Pvt Ltd. is in place now for product development and conducting human clinical trial.

Conference Award: Congratulations to Sulagna Rath, PhD SRF, who received 1st prize in poster presentation at the 4th SACT International Conference held at Navi Mumbai on 07-09 March, 2025
Patent Award: Our collaborative work on controlled drug release formulation for treatment of pancreatic cancer with Prof. Rajdip Bandyopadhyaya's group at Chemical Engineering Department at IIT-Bombay was granted Patent by Govt of India Patent office on 1st March 2025.

Conference Award: Congratulations to Shivali Mishra, PhD SRF, received second prize for poster presentation at the International Conference by the Society for Mitochondrial Research and Medicine held at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University (SDMU), Dharwad, Karnataka on 11-12 November, 2024
Career Award: Congratulations to Dr. K. Sindhu, Assistant Professor at Department of Zoology, University of Calicut, Kerala, who was awarded INSA Visiting Fellow and joined MFIL @ ACTREC. She spend the last summer (May-July 2024) in the lab.

Conference Award: Congratulations to Shivali Mishra PhD SRF winning ISCB Dr. V. C. Shah memorial prize for best oral presentation in All India Cell Biology Conference (AICBC) held at ACTREC during January 10-12, 2024

Patent Award: Professor De and Aaiyas Mujawar in collaboration with Dr. S. Britto group at IISER, Pune was Granted Patent on 'ASSAY FOR DETERMINING TARGET ENGAGEMENT IN REAL - TIME IN LIVING SYSTEMS' by Govt of India Patent office in September 2023.
PhD Award: Congratulations to Dr. Pranay Dey, who successfully defended viva voce and was awarded PhD degree from HBNI on 25th September, 2023
Patent Award: MFIL@ACTREC in collaboration with the NanoBios Lab, IITB, has been granted patent by the Government of India for self-assembled niclosamide-hyaluronic acid-conjugated micelles.
Conference Award: Aaiyas Mujawar, Ph.D. SRF was awarded the Best Poster Award at HBNI THEME MEETING-LS 2023 at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics in February 2023.
Conference Award: Shivali Mishra, Ph.D SRF, was awarded the second Best Poster Award at National Research Scholars Meet in December, 2022.
Conference Award: Pranay Dey presented a poster at EACR 2022 Congress held at Spain and received Bursary grant for presenting his work
PhD Award: Congratulations to Dr. Sumit K Mishra, who successfully defended viva voce and awarded PhD degree in Life Sciences from HBNI on June 2022.
PhD Award: Congratulations to Dr. Arijit Mal, who successfully defended viva voce and awarded PhD degree in Life Sciences from HBNI on October 22, 2021
Special Award recognition: Dr. Shalini Dimri was awarded the J. B. Joshi Research Foundation innovation award for her PhD thesis during the HBNI foundation day program in the year 2021.
Special Award recognition: Dr. Maitreyi Rathod received the Outstanding Doctoral Student award in Life Science on HBNI foundation day program in the year 2021.
Conference Award: Chetna Patnaik received NASI-Swarn Jayanti Puraskar-2021 for oral presentation in December 2021
Special Recognition: In recognition of his technology expertise, a white paper on BRET technology authored by Dr. A De, and Dr. Ronald Koop and Dr. Shahzada Asad from Perkin Elmer was published in the year 2021.
